Logging in to cPanel

cPanel is a powerful, easy-to-use interface for managing hosting accounts. You can use cPanel to configure and manage e-mail accounts, files, domain and database settings, and much more.

To access your ViniHost account, use the ViniHost Customer Portal. The Customer Portal enables you to manage support tickets, billing, and much more. For information about how to log in to the Customer Portal, please see this article.

Using the cPanel Quick Start

After you log in to cPanel, you have access to a wide range of tools to help you administer your hosting account. To use the cPanel Quick Start, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. At the top of the cPanel home screen is the Quick Start section with several icons:
    • WordPress Toolkit: Click this icon to access the WordPress Toolkit.
    • Email Accounts: Manage your e-mail accounts.
    • File Manager: Access the web-based File Manager.
    • phpMyAdmin: Access phpMyAdmin for managing MySQL databases.
    • Addon Domains: Manage your addon domains.
    • SSL/TLS: Manage your SSL certificates.
    • Server Rewind: Access Server Rewind for restoring files.
    • Contact Support: Go to the customer support page.
    • Knowledge Base: Access articles on various topics.
    • Live Chat: Open a live chat for support.

Using the cPanel WordPress Toolkit

The WordPress Toolkit provides a convenient interface directly within cPanel that you can use to install, configure, and manage your WordPress websites. With the WordPress Toolkit, you can:

Logging in to WordPress

There are two ways you can log in to WordPress sites on your account:

Method #1: Log in to WordPress directly

In your web browser, go to the site administration URL provided in the Welcome e-mail you received when you first set up your account. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.

Method #2: Use the WordPress Toolkit

Log in to cPanel, click WordPress Toolkit, and then click Log in next to your WordPress site.

Installing WordPress

By default, a WordPress site is installed on your account and ready to use immediately. However, if you want to install an additional WordPress site, you can use the WordPress Toolkit in cPanel.

Creating Your First WordPress Post

To start publishing content on your WordPress site:

  1. Log in to your WordPress site.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Posts, then click Add New.
  3. Add a title for the post and type the main content.
  4. Save, preview, or publish the new post.

Jetpack is a multi-purpose plugin included with all Managed WordPress hosting plans. It can improve site performance, manage backups, and help secure your site.
